  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in: 4 PM and Checkout: 11 AM. You must be 18 years old to check in.

  • Is Lanier Islands Resort a pet-friendly resort?

    Yes, the resort is pet-friendly and welcomes pets. Click here to review our pet policy. When booking online, you can add an enhancement during checkout to “Bring Your Dog”, which will add a Pet Fee, and let our reservations team know to give you a pet room. Please call 770-945-8787 to have an agent book a pet-friendly room or convert your existing reservation.

  • Is there rollaway beds available?

    Yes, we do have limited number of twin-sized rollaway beds available for use in our Lodge King, King Accessible, and Deluxe Suite Rooms only. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and have a rental fee of $30 per night. Rollaways are not available in our Double Queen Lodge Rooms, Villas or LakeHouses due to room size and accessibility constraints.

  • What is the resort fee?

    The resort fee is posted per room, per night, and is not included in the nightly rate. For transient guests, the current resort fee is $35 per room, per night. Group resort fees may vary based on their contract, and in some cases, the fee may be waived per contractual agreement.

    This fee provides access to a variety of resort amenities and services, including WiFi, access to the Fitness Center, scheduled yoga/aerobics classes, pickleball courts & equipment, heated saltwater lounging pool, use of outdoor firepits, parking, on-property resort shuttle (subject to availability), miles of paved and unpaved walking and biking trails, waived beach pass/cover charge to Margaritaville special events, daily newspaper, and a welcome beverage at Game Changer.

  • Does the resort supply beach or pool towels?

    For overnight guests utilizing the pool at Legacy Lodge, pool towels are provided for pool use only. For guests visiting the beach or water park, please bring your personal towels for use. Pool towels provided at the Lodge must be returned before leaving the pool area. Towels are not provided for use at the beach or water park.

  • Do you have discounts for Military and First Responders?

    Military and First Responder discounts are available at Legacy Lodge based on availability. Certain blackout dates apply.

  • Can I arrive by boat?

    Yes, there is a courtesy dock located behind Legacy Lodge. The coordinates are 34°11'12.7"N 84°01'10.1"W.

    We also have a dock located next to Game Changer. The coordinates are 34°10'53.5"N 84°01'43.4"W

  • How do I buy water park or snow park tickets?

    The water park and snow park are managed and operated by Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. You can purchase tickets on line via their website or you can purchase tickets at the payment kiosks at the park entrances.

  • Is valet parking available?

    Yes, valet parking is available for a $10 daily fee and a $20 nightly fee, staffed from 6 AM to 11 PM, with overnight parking handled by our night audit team.

  • Is there electric vehicle (EV) charging available?

    Yes. The Lodge offers 10 electric vehicle charging stations located in the Valet area. New Tesla chargers are available for guest use; standard Tesla charging rates apply.

  • Is airport transportation available?

    Yes, we provide various transportation options through preferred vendors. Lanier Islands Resort provides chauffeured transportation to and from the airport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer a wide range of chauffeur-driven vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, luxury limousines, vans, mini-buses, coaches, and more.   • What is the deposit policy?

    Currently, the only rate that requires a deposit is our Book Early and Save rate, which is fully pre-paid and non-refundable. At times, other pre-paid, non-refundable rate plans may also be offered.

  • Does Lanier Islands Resort have a loyalty program?

    Lanier Islands Resort participates in the Stash Rewards program, which lets guests earn points on every stay, dining experience, and activity. Points can be redeemed for discounts, exclusive offers, and unique experiences at the resort.

  • What is Lanier Islands Resort's cancellation policy?

    Guests attending a meeting or event may cancel up to 48 hours before arrival at no charge. For individual reservations, cancellations are required at least 72 hours in advance, unless your rate specifies otherwise.

  • Is the resort accessible for guests with disabilities?

  • How do I make dining reservations?

    To ensure you secure a table, especially during peak seasons or special events, we recommend making reservations in advance. You can book directly by contacting the individual restaurants, through the resort’s online reservation system when available, or by calling 678-318-2048.

  • What type of accommodations are available at Lanier Islands Resort?

    The resort offers multiple lodging options, including our Legacy Lodge, Legacy Villas, and LakeHouses.

  • What amenities are included in the rooms?

    Rooms include comfortable beds, air conditioning, and some with lake views from balconies and patios. Room service is available.

    In the Legacy Villa, we offer a combination of in-room amenities which may include things such as a TV in the bedroom and living room, a wet bar with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea, and a gas fireplace.

    The Legacy Lodge has a flat-screen TV, a combination tub and shower bathoom, and a patio or balcony with several views available.

    Our Lake Houses are equipped with a living area with a sleeper sofa and a stone fireplace, a full kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and more. It has a dining area, a washer, dryer, deck with a gas grill, and parking for 2 vehicles.

  • Is there a pool on site?

    Yes, the property features a large, heated outdoor saltwater pool.

  • Do you have adjoining rooms?

    Lanier Islands Resort does not offer adjoining/connecting rooms, but does offer lodging in a house with 2 rooms, such as our LakeHouses. To ensure the highest chance of securing your ideal accommodations, it is recommended to call the reservations team directly at (770) 945-8787.

  • Do you have roll-away beds?

    Yes, Lanier Islands Resort has cribs (infant beds) and pack-n-plays available free of charge. You should request one when booking your reservation or contact the resort in advance, as they are subject to availability.

  • Do you offer laundry service?

    Yes, Lanier Islands Resort offers both full laundry and dry cleaning services and self-service laundry facilities for guests. Accommodations such as the Lake Houses at Legacy feature their own private washer and dryer units for guest use.   • How far is the resort from Atlanta?

    Lanier Islands Resort is about 45 minutes outside of Atlanta, GA via 1-85 N.

  • Are there modes of transportation around the resort that are available for rent?

    Yes, we offer resort cart rentals. Lanier Islands Resort carts offer both four-seat and six-seat size options and are the perfect way to zip around our 1,200-acre playground for the spirit. Whether you want to explore the Legacy, Pine, and Blue Ridge Islands, or you’re heading over to Legacy Golf Course for a game, nothing gets you there better than a resort cart.

  • Does the resort include a shuttle?

    Yes, our shuttle bus provides VIP tours and transportation services around the Islands with seating for up to 13 passengers. We also offer transportation services around the Islands in our large passenger vans with seating for up to 10 people and minivans with seating for up to 6 people.   • Is airport transportation available?

  • How large is Lanier Islands Resort?

    Lanier Islands Resort is a large complex spanning a total of approximately 1,200 acres on the shores of Lake Lanier.

  • Does Lanier Islands Resort have a membership club?

    Yes, our Club Lanier Islands Resort Annual Membership is $100 per person. This is a one-year club membership. Club membership allows free resort entry and parking for one full year from the date of purchase. As a Club Lanier Islands Resort member, you'll enjoy early access to special events, 10% off dining, and 10% off services at the Tranquility Spa.

  • What dining options are available at the resort?

    There are multiple on-site dining options, covering casual, American, and other cuisine cravings. Specific restaurants include Sidney's Restaurant, Bullfrogs Bar & Grille, Game Changer Restaurant, Lakeside Cafe, and partner-operated choices such as the Chill Zone Restaurants & Tiki Bar at Margaritaville, and LandShark Bar & Grill.   • Is there family-friendly dining?

    Our entire resort is family-friendly. Bring the kids to any restaurant, and we will accommodate everyone. To ensure you secure a table, especially during peak seasons or special events, we recommend making reservations in advance for dining at Sidney’s. You can book directly by contacting the individual restaurants, through the resort’s online reservation system when available, or through OpenTable.   • Can Lanier Islands Resort provide audio/visual equipment and technology?

    Yes, Lanier Islands Resort offers extensive audio/visual (A/V) equipment and technology, with state-of-the-art systems in its conference centers, built-in accommodations in ballrooms, onsite A/V staff, and high-speed internet, catering to large presentations, corporate events, and flexible meeting needs with options like projectors, screens, and integrated audio.

  • Is catering available for meetings and events?

    Yes, catering is available, and the chefs can craft seasonal menus.   • Is it possible to book multiple types of accommodations at once?

    When making a reservation, it’s not possible to book multiple different types of accommodations in a single online transaction. Our booking system is designed for booking a single type of room or package per reservation. If there are additional accommodations that you would like to add to your reservation, contact the Lanier Islands Resort reservations department at (770) 945-8787.

  • How far in advance should I book my stay?

    We recommend booking your stay at Lanier Islands Resort as far in advance as possible to secure your preferred accommodations and dates, though we welcome reservations year-round and are perfect for last-minute getaways as well. To ensure you have the widest selection of room types and amenities for special events, we recommend booking a few months in advance as a rule of thumb, however we’re here to help make your stay happen even if your travel dates are coming up soon.

  • Are there activities for children available?

    Yes, we offer several activities for children, including Game Changer and seasonal activities at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. Explore our Things to Do page for more information.

  • What outdoor activities are available?

    Legacy Golf, walking trails, pickleball, fishing, and more! Enjoy other activities at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands like boat rentals, water sports, License to Chill Snow Islands, and Fins Up Water Park! Not all of these activities are available year-round, so be sure to check the Things to Do page for more information before your stay.

  • Do I have to be a resort guest to play golf?

    No, you do not have to be a resort guest to play golf at the Legacy Golf Course. The course is a public facility, welcoming both overnight guests and day visitors. For reservations or inquiries, book a tee time today, or contact the Legacy Golf Course at (678) 318-7861 with any questions.

  • Do you offer clubs for rent?

    Yes, Lanier Islands Resort offers premium golf clubs for rent at the Legacy Golf Course. You can rent a set of modern, high-quality clubs for your round. The rental rate is $75 plus tax per set. To reserve your rental clubs, contact the golf shop at (678) 318-7861.

  • Is there a clubhouse at the golf resort?

    Yes, however, the clubhouse and the driving range are currently undergoing renovations. Food and beverage services are currently limited during this period, and the driving range is restricted to guests with tee times for warm-up purposes.

  • Do you offer boating facilities at the resort?

    Yes, Lanier Islands Resort offers boating accommodations like various docking options, a full-service marina, and more through our neighbors at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. To get access to all boating options, rentals, specific information such as rental rates or to reserve a slip, it’s best to contact our partners directly at (470) 323-3440!

  • What type of events does Lanier Islands Resort offer throughout the year?

    Lanier Islands Resort offers a diverse array of events throughout the year, spanning all four seasons with holiday celebration, concerts, seasonal dinners, golf tournamenents, and general entertainment. We also offer seasonal events with our partners Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, including their Fins Up Water Park and more. Some of our winter events include, but are not limited to:

    Magical Nights of Lights: Enjoy a scenic drive through miles of lights, in oour popular show featuring millions of animated lights and themed displays, running nightly from mid-November through the top of January.

    License to Chill Snow Island: A winter atraction operated by Margaritaville at Lanier Islands that includes snow tubing on an eight-story slide, ice skating, amusement park rides, and snow play areas, typically open from mid-November thorugh February.

    Summer Events

    Fins Up Water Park: Open during the summer months, this includes water slides, a wave pool, and beach access.

    Live Music & Entertainment: The resort hosts live music with various artists at events such as their Summer Concert Series.

    Afternoon Teas with beautiful lakeside views adn delectable bites.

    Sunday Breakfasts at Sidney's Restaurant, located on the grounds.

    Year-Round Fun

    Game Changer Fun Center: This indoor venue hosts daily and weekly events, including Karaoke Nights, Trivia, and Music Bingo.

    We offer fun across the entire year, including activities like Golf, Duckpin Bowling, Virtual Sports Suites, and more, with seasonal special events like the Coca-Cold History Caravan and Magical Nights of Lights as well.

    We host other events like the Lights Festival, where we illuminate the sky with breathtaking lanterns and more.
